PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
Hello to all Marshall County Ike members.
The July board elections brought some new faces to your Board of Directors. I want to welcome Dick Kelly,
Jamie Williams, and Luke McKibben to the Board and thank them for volunteering to help and participating in
keeping our chapter strong.
I would also like to thank outgoing board members Garry Brandenburg, Yan Qui, and Dwight McDonald for
their years of service and encourage all of you to do the same when you have the opportunity.
September brings us to the close of summer, the beginning of fall hunting seasons, and more things to do at
the Ikes. There is a NRL 22 rifle shoot on September 25
and the fall sporting clays shoot on October 4 th

have time in your schedule, also consider volunteering to help. All of the work at the club is done by volunteers
and we always appreciate more help.
I also encourage anyone who has time to attend the monthly board and membership meetings. Your
participation and ideas are welcome and will help shape the future of our chapter.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Board Meeting: Tuesday Sept 8, 6:00 PM at the Izaak Walton League Clubhouse.
The 2026 Ruth and Dale Dolash Memorial Sporting Clay Shoot: Sunday, October 4, 2026
The shoot will be held at our Izaak Walton League grounds. Registration will be from 8:30 AM until 1:00 PM.
Shooting will begin at 9:00 AM.
$40.00 for 100 targets. Kids 16 and under shoot one round for $10.00 if accompanied by a paid adult.
This will be a fun shoot. We plan on having food and drink at the clubhouse.

Volunteer of the Month
Dan and Tina Nelson have been nominated for volunteers of the month. There was a nest under the Ikes front
steps. One member was stung probably 25 to 30 times and another member got stung 10 or 15 times.
Thank you Danny and Tina for removing the hornets nest.
