PRESIDENTS MESSAGE      November Newsletter
Welcome to the holiday season. Thanksgiving Day is coming up faster than a rooster pheasant that busted cover behind you. Hopefully even if your shot misses the pheasant, you will not miss important things related to family gatherings in and around another "turkey day." Save a piece of pumpkin pie for me. Hehehehe.
Soon enough after Thanksgiving, Christmas time preparations will consume lots of our time. And of course Christmas comes with our traditional tree sales efforts on the part of the Ikes. Tree sales weekends will kick off on November 28/29/30. After that, tree sales will be offered on December 6/7th and ending on Dec 13/14th. Times for sales will be 10 am until 4 pm. A fall cleanup consisting primarily of brush cutting along the access roadway was completed. Brush growth behind the shooting range stations right next to the pond shoreline were also cut back. Did the workers get everything done that may have been on a a list? , no. Progress is still accomplished by one foot in front of the other to get-r-done.
Range meetings for members to 1. go over rule changes and 2. see the safety measures accomplished at the range, and 3. urge all range users to help stamp out bad behavior and increase good behavior. A report on our observations so far will be offered. A new range gate code will be in place on December 15th for members.
Be aware of 2026 activities the Ikes may want to conduct as a new year begins. We have several clay bird shoots by tradition, for example. Always something comes up that we may want to assist or sponsor.

Rifle Range Rules Meeting: Another rules meeting will be on Nov 29th at 9:00 AM at our gun range.
The gun range gate code will be changed on Dec 15th. Only members that have signed the new range rules will get the new gate code for access to the rifle range.
Christmas Tree Sales: Christmas tree sales will begin Nov 28. Sales will be on Nov 28, 29 & 30, Dec 6 & 7 and Dec 13 & 14 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
